Licenses and regulates communications and broadcasting in the US.

 

The DOJ

DOJ - The Department of Justice serves as counsel for its citizens. It represents them in enforcing the law in the public interest.Will deal with anti-trust and monopoly issues. Attorney General: Janet Reno.

 

 

The CFR

CFR - The Code of Federal Regulations is a codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the Executive departments and agencies of the Federal Government.

NAB - The National Association of Broadcasters. (One of the largest spenders of money on lobbying politicians in the US). CRTC (Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission)
Like the FCC. Governs over communications and broadcasting in Canada.
 

 

 

Arbitron

The Arbitron Company - The "Bible" of the Radio Ratings. Not the most accurate, but the most widely used ratings system for commercial radio.
